My great niece, Kahli!!! |
Hot Chocolate ! It's healthy&sexy! |
That said, I don’t celebrate this hallmark
day. I resent the artificialness and commercialization of Valentine's Day
because I don’t really need an excuse to give chocolates or to do something
sweet for someone. And, I also don’t want
someone to give me chocolates or roses just because they feel pressure to do
so. It is the expectations that diminish
this hallmark for me.
What makes me feel special is spontaneity
and the show of love and consideration in the little things. I don’t need flowers, chocolates,
and or being treated to dinner on Valentine's Day. To me it’s just another day. I am comfortable knowing that I love and am loved without it.
When my son was younger he would pick me
bouquets of twigs and gave them to me saying, “Look what I picked for you mom!”
a treasured memory.
If you feel the love, show it, don't wait for valentine's day!
