A Helping Hand
Each year there are turtles crossing the road, and each year the traffic gets busier. We stop, when it is safe to do so that is, and help the turtles get across the road safely.
Take a moment from your busy schedule to help someone.
Yes, my son loves taking them across the road. I sometimes wonder if they really are indeed trying to get to the other side, or are we taking them out of their way. Nonetheless, at least they are out of harms way for the moment.
As I zoomed past a turtle crossing the street the other day, I couldn't help but stop, turn around, and place it on the other side. I even said to it, "you should be more careful when crossing the street. You should consider doing this in the middle of night when there are fewer cars." I hope that he understands. : )
I have a feeling your son will grow up having fond memories of how he helped all those turtles get out of harm's way. It's also a great way to appreciate the relationship we should have with nature and the other creatures that share this world with us.

I bet it was a satisfying feeling knowing you helped it get to the other side safely. : )

Hello, thank you for dropping in again and of course for your comment.
Sometimes I think he actually would like to take them across the road, into our car, and into our house.
