and she found it in her breast,
golf ball sized; she cried.
If diligent, she’d have found it sooner.
Alone she tells it go away, go away
And whispers thank God for TV.

Came over to read your 160 and read this very powerful reminder to all women. Thank you!
Sorry to hear about your sister's experience--I hope all is well.
Sombre moment caprured here...
Very important message! No woman should ignore it as life depends on early detection of these breast lumps.
Thanks.

Wow. What an important reminder. Kudos for keeping it out there...
Glad you visited sixtyfivewhatnow. Go take yourself to the doctor and follow through with the treatment. We have so many choices.
Hi Bodhirose
Thank you for visiting. We are all sending my sister positie white light.
Hi Jinksy
Thank you for your comment.
Hey Duta,
You are quite right early detection is the key to beating it.
Hi Brian,
Indeed, way too many people are touched by this. Thank you for your comment.
MM
Thank you for your comment and spreading the awareness. Glad you beat it!
Hi Karen,
Thank you for dropping in today.
Rosaria,
It is not me that found the lump, it was my sister. And, yes she is following treatment. Thank you for your comment.
What a relief! How wonderful. I'm so happy for you and your family and friends. That is amazing news! I love a happy ending!
Thank you for spreading this to others. I just had a mammogram two weeks ago & results were that I'm ok. I have an aunt that never self examined and when she did find a lump (cause it was huge and she couldn't ignore it anymore) it was too late and she died of breast cancer. I hope your sister comes through with flying colors and becomes a survivor!
Hey Climb to No Where,
Thank you for your comment. I really do hope she has beaten this!
Hi Alicia,
Thank you for dropping in and leaving a comment. I too hope she is a surviver!
This has been a real eye opener for our family of six women. Being the youngest, I am really hoping this conversation never stops and that everyone checks and rechecks.
Just checking back on you. It's out of your hands about your sister now, but she's definitely on the right track. Keep your hopes and spirits up and laugh as much as you can. I hope she's done with all of this.
Thank you all for your comments. I've intentionally kept this post up because I wanted everyone to be aware and that early detection is the only way to beat this.
The good news is Rose just got confirmation from her doctor that she is cancer free and there is no need for any further treatment!!!! Amazing! We are all so pleased with this news.
